We will be celebrating the Hispanic culture with food on Monday May 6. This will be a tasting lunch, so I ask that you limit yourself to small portions of the food items until all have been served. When preparing your dish, I recommend that you make a double-portion of the recipe you are working with so that there will be plenty of food.
I will bring paper plates, cups and napkins.
This will be counted as a homework assignment.
On Monday morning, if your food will need to be refrigerated take it to the Food Prep classroom kitchen to put it in the refrigerator. If not, bring it to the classroom.
We have the LGI room for both Flexes so we will start enjoying our food during Flex A and go into Flex B. Make sure that you invite a friend!
At the beginning of Flex A, get your food and deliver it to the LGI. If needed, you can heat the dish in the Food Prep room in the microwaves. Please bring a serving utensil. If your food needs to be cut, please do it at home or in the food prep classroom.
I will take dishes back to the classroom where you can pick them up at the end of the day on Monday. If you have food that should be refrigerated.
You are required to take a photo of yourself with your dish and post it to Canvas as well as complete the information sheet about your food.
For Extra Credit you can upload a video of yourself talking about your food in Spanish. In the video, give your name, the food that you are bringing, where that food is from, what part of the meal it is from and the top two ingredients (the information on the information sheet).
